Introduction
4 Update the system configuration file for the
additional DUT power supply.
Each step might be simple or complex depending on
your application and system. Choose the appropriate
instructions for each step from the pages that follow.
Tools Needed
■ Anti-static wrist strap
■ 2.5-millimeter hex wrench
■ 3-millimeter hex wrench
■ 5-millimeter hex wrench
■ #2 Pozidriv screwdriver
■ 1/4-inch flat blade screwdriver
■ T20 Torx driver
■ Diagonal cutters
■ System cabinet key
■ Testhead key
■ Right-angle ratchet driver
■ T15 Torx bit for ratchet driver
■ T20 Torx bit for ratchet driver
■ Needle-nose pliers
■ 7/16-inch box-end or open-end wrench
■ #2 Pozidriv ratchet or offset screwdriver
Preparation

The procedures in this document must be
performed by personnel who are trained and
qualified to service Agilent 3070 / 79000 Family
systems.
Follow the steps below before beginning the
installation:
1 If the system is in use, notify the operator and system
administrator that testing must be suspended while
the DUT supply is installed. The testhead must be
shut down, but the controller can remain active for
use by programmers. Obtain permission before
shutting down the testhead.
2 Remove any test fixture that may be on the testhead.
3 Remove the board handler if it is installed on the
testhead.
CAUTION
✸
DO NOT rotate the testhead if an 44990A EFS
Board Handler is installed. The added weight of
the board handler might damage the testhead’s
rotating mechanism or cause the testhead to tip
over.
