Workstation
This test verifies that the selected device is accessible and
measures the name lookup time and the ping response time of
that device.
Test setup
The first setup screen is used to type in the name or address of
the workstation. The last setup screen provides a list of
measurements performed during the test. Select a measurement
from the list and press Edit to view and modify the thresholds
used to rate the performance of the measurement.
The following measurements are taken during the tests.
Name Lookup The request or response time for converting a
name into an address.
PING Response The time taken to perform an ICMP Echo test
on the device.
