5 DSL Testing with the FrameScope Pro
• In the Router operating mode, you need to configure the
following parameters.
• VPI: Set the Virtual Path Identifier (between 0 and 255).
• VCI: Set the Virtual Channel Identifier (between 0 and
6535).
• Encapsulation: Select between LLC/SNAP or VCMux
encapsulation.
• User Name and Password: needed by the Internet Service
Provider for authentication.
• Dial on Demand feature.
Select to enable the VIT-A2 to automatically connect to
the Internet when there is a request for Internet access.
Clear for manual connection to the Internet.
If Dial on Demand is selected, you can type in the time
interval in seconds after which the Internet connection is
automatically disconnected in case of inactivity. (0 to
86400, where 0 turns off this function.)
When you have completed the setup for the Router operating
mode, press Commit to confirm and use the settings.
