Introduction
The Carrier Type function configures the HP 3048A for measuring a
Continuous Wave (CW) carrier or a Pulsed (PULSED) carrier. The CW
selection is the default Carrier Type. All measurements except pulse
modulated measurements and some special cases should be made using
the CW Carrier Type. The Pulsed Carrier Type is frequently useful in
special cases for measurements on CW Carriers when the user wishes to
control the Low Noise Amplifier (LNA) selection.
