Add Option 1D5 to the Firmware (Firmware Revision 6.xx)

IMPORTANT This procedure instructs you in adding Option 1D5 to the firmware with

8719/20/22D network analyzers with an older CPU board and firmware

revision 6.xx. If your firmware revision is 7.xx, refer to “Add Option 1D5 to

the Firmware (Firmware Revision 7.xx)” on page 10. If you have firmware

revision is 7.xx, you will have the newer CPU board.

Move the A7 Jumper

1. Move the A7 CC jumper to the ALT position. (Refer to Figure 5.)

Make an Addition to the Displayed Options List

2. Press

3. Verify that the analyzer displays ‘‘OPTION 1D5’’, by pressing

Return the A7 Jumper to the Original Position

4. Return the A7 CC jumper to the normal operating position (NRM).

5. Replace the analyzer bottom cover, and all the rear panel guard feet.

6. Continue with “Verify the Frequency Reference Operation” on page 11.
