5 If you are using Dead Reckoning, connect the Sensors cable

(Trimble p/n 30513) to the

HEADING SENSOR port.

6 Connect the power cable (p/n 5182-1290) to the POWER

connector.

7 Connect the opposite end of the cable to the 4-to-1 lighter

socket adapter.

Heading Sensor Cable Connections

The Trimble Sensors cable has two inner cables (see Figure 60)

that are to be connected as follows:

1 Connect the Red lead of the ODO 0 cable to the vehicle’s

odometer pulse signal.

2 Connect the Black lead of the ODO 0 cable to chassis ground.

3 Connect the HEADING SENSOR cable to the heading sensor.

NOTE

Position the magnetic-mount GPS antenna 18 inches (45.7 cm) away from

other antennas. The GPS antenna must have an unobstructed view of the

horizon for best performance.
