7. Conﬁ gure Burst #1.

Increase the user’s data to

1000 bytes. This mean we will

have a Preamble period, then

time with data, and the rest of

DL subframe will be pilots only.

Select Burst #1 to check the following

parameters.

• Modulation and coding = QPSK (CC) 1/2

• Repetition coding = none

• Power boost = 0 dB

• Data Length (Bytes) = 1000

8. Download the signal to Agilent

ESG.

On the menu bar, go to Control > Gener-

ate and Download.

If you encounter any errors, refer to the

on-line help of Signal Studio for 802.16

WiMAX software.

9. Save the settling ﬁ le for future

reuse.

File > Save As... > OFDMA_Demo.scp

(Insert a ﬁ le name of your choice)

10. Export the waveform ﬁ le for

future reuse.

File > Export Waveform Data > OFDMA_

Demo.wfm (Insert a ﬁ le name of your

choice)
